We are sure that parents will have heard about the changes to self-isolation requirements announced by the First Minister today and which come into effect from midnight. This may have led to some confusion about when any children isolating should return to school.
Tonight schools were issued with further updated guidance. This relates specifically to if the changes a retrospective, in other words to these changes apply to people asked to isolate prior to 6th January 2022.
NHS Public Health have clarified tonight that anyone who was asked to isolate before 6th January 2022 should continue to follow the advice they were given at the time they were asked to isolate.
