Following procedural information issued by South Lanarkshire Council, we would like to update you on our End of Term Arrangements.

On Friday 18thMonday 21st and Tuesday 22nd we will be following additional stringent procedures in order to reduce the risk of pupils and/or staff having to isolate over the festive period, as set out by SLC.

As a result of this our Santa Dash/Orienteering event will be held as class bubbles in the playground and not at the Moor Park.

These rules will require children to stay in their classes with very limited movement within classes/school and limited mixing in their class bubbles.

Often children would move to sit with friends during the last days of term to complete festive activities.  However the expectation is that the children will stay in the same seats during the last few days of term.  Any seating changes will be in place from the morning of Friday 18th December until Tuesday 22nd December at 2:30pm.

Adults will continue to follow social distancing and wear masks when appropriate.

Please remember items, including toys etc. should not be brought into school.

I would like to remind you that if your child has symptoms of COVID-19 they must not attend school and should take a test and that the full household should self-isolate until test results are known.

As you know, this is certainly not how we would want to spend the last few days of term but we have been requested to submit our class and lunch seating plans along with details of any direct or close contacts to South Lanarkshire Council, in order to share the necessary information should a member of staff or a pupil test positive for COVID-19 over the holiday period.  It is staff at South Lanarkshire Education Department who will undertake any contact tracing over the holiday and not school staff as has been the case so far.

There are currently no COVID-19 related absences within the school and we hope this will continue until the end of term.  Thank you for your understanding and support during these challenging times.

If we do not get a chance to see you before Christmas, we would like to wish you a safe and happy Christmas.
