Many people think that schools 'wind down' over the last week of term when in reality it is one of the busiest times in a school. This is because we are closing off things for one year and already setting plans for the next. Some of you who have been in and around the school over the last week has seen first hand how busy it can be.
To add to that, sadly several members of our team have experienced close family bereavements over the last week. There are also staff out of school on residential with our P7s.
We ask parents who are contacting the school this week to show some extra patience, check if the answer to your query can be found on the App or in your email. If you are calling to speak to a member of staff, please call once, messages are passed on but it may take longer than usual to get back to you as we support our colleagues who are absent, who have found the strength to attend work or have given up their own family time to take pupils away overnight.
