Message on behalf of South Lanarkshire Council
In line with previous advice, all South Lanarkshire schools and most nurseries will be closed Tuesday 26th-Thursday 28th September.
You may have heard of the strike being postponed, this relates to the Unite union. Meanwhile Unison has confirmed its intention to maintain the strike action while consulting its members.
That union is by far the largest among the group of workers affected in South Lanarkshire the impact on our schools will be too great to open them safely. That may not be the case in other council areas where membership numbers are different.
